Our workshop
facility includes custom built workstations for component level electronic
repairs to most
makes and models of “static sensitive equipment” including
Switch mode power supplies, Control boards, Surgical and Laboratory
grade Fibre optic light sources, High pressure mercury and Xenon light
sources.
We also manufacture replacement power supplies for instruments that
are no longer supported for spares.
We also have a range of “ready to go” reconditioned boards
for some equipment to minimize cost and reduce down times for the Customer.

LMG has for many years embraced the idea
of training young people in the community. We firmly believe that passing
on unique skills and providing excellent opportunities for our youth, especially
in highly skilled technical areas like Scientific and Medical Diagnostic
Instrumentation, is both rewarding and good for the continuing support
of our Customers. |

to our quality control.
Our staff to take pride in their work and pay attention to detail when

Optical Mechanical repairs and fine
assembly is part of the ongoing training with our apprentices. They are
frequently involved
in servicing “on-site” whilst also learning important additional
skills in customer relations and safety in the field. |
With our machine shop facility we are
able to perform many types of repairs “in house” including
silver soldering, machining, polishing and refrigeration repairs. |

The area as shown contains current products from Leica
for demonstration and training purposes. We also have a display of historical
microscopes from 1939 to 1969 manufactured by Leitz Wetzlar Germany (now
Leica), that many customers will remember using during their University
days.
We still use these old instruments for training apprentices in collimation
and alignment procedures so they can make comparisons with current
makes and models and retain some of the old skills which have proven
to be invaluable
even with current Instruments.
